mod_jk 1.2.23 is incompatible with mod_rewrite

Java Add comments

The newest version 1.2.23 of mod_jk includes a change in the forwarding configuration which is incompatible with mod_rewrite. The developers of the Tomcat Connector changed this to fix a security issue described here. There is a bug entry in the apache issue system about this problem.

One of our companies product is a Java content management system that relies on the combination of the apache mod_rewrite module ad mod_jk so I hope there will be a solution/workaround for future versions.

[...] As I pointed out two months agoa security bugfix in mod_jk version 1.2.23 made it incompatible with mod_rewrite. Though this blog post describes a workaround by changing ForwardURI mode I am happy to see that mod_jk version 1.2.25 is again compatible with mod_rewrite. | Save This Post | | Stumble it! | reddit_url=’http://dertompson.com/index.php/2007/10/04/mod_jk-and-mod_rewrite-compatible-again/’ reddit_title=’mod_jk and mod_rewrite compatible again’ [...]
