Lately I had less time to write blog posts but that does not mean that I am not active in Web 2.0 - I tend to use Twitter more and more and keep on reading posts inside Google Reader and sharing them. I included both of them inside my blog (in the right column) so you can keep track of what I want to share with the world
I also encourage you to have a look at my friendfeed from time to time (or subscribe to it) where all my activities are summarized.

Many posts on my blog are about mobile devices - so why is my not optimized for mobile browsers?
Luckily today I saw this post on BlackBerryReview.com about mofuse.com. MpFuse easily allows you to create a mobile site for your blog or RSS feed. So I created a mobile site that features my blog AND my shared Google Reader items (the ones that can also be found in the right column of my blog).
So point your mobile browser to

In the last months I started to listen more and more streaming music. I have a big music library stored on my home server that I created years ago by ripping all my audio CD’s. I still add some new albums of my favorite bands but when I am working on my PC I found out that most of my music distracts me too much.
When I have to concentrate it is better for me to listen to “sound without lyrics”. I do not have much of that kind of music so I tried some internet radio stations. My favorite one is somafm.com. I like their Groove Salad channel a lot. The Secret Agent channel is another favorite when I am on a “special mission”
The Hardjet Playground’s podcats are a great is another set of great remixes and special versions. I even listen to classic streams sometime because I people say it pushes creativity.
There are also streams of local Austrian radio station like FM4 or OE3.

I am talking directly to you because I want to improve my blog. I want to know what you think about it. What do you like and what do you not like? Which topics are you interested in and why do you visit my blog?
I am recognizing the strange fact that while the traffic of my blog is still slightly increasing the comments and the responses are getting lesser. Please just leave a short comment if you like what I wrote or tell me you do not agree with me.
I started this blog as a kind of diary but over time I am trying to blog more and more for my readers. Howtos and problem solving solutions are for you. Sometimes I need them myself again but mostly I write them down and the problem never comes up again.
Thanks!

What a day: Oracle acquires BEA, Sun wants to buy MySQL … seems like some changes are going on. Another Java application server dies but I hope the JDBC support of MySQL gets better.

I went snowboarding in Maria Alm and they got a new cool feature on skiline.cc. There you can enter the identification number of your skicard and see which lift you took and how many kilometers you drove. Here is my skiline for today:

Nice idea for a cool new feature. My friends got a new competition runnin’: Who is able to collect the most meters in this season?

Last week I got my Parrot CK3200
hands-free car kit. After 40 minutes of work I had it installed in my car. It was very easy using the existing ISO connectors. The Parrot CK3200
allows to connect up to five different bluetooth phones. It synchronizes the address book an call lists. The voice dial commands work very good. It supports telephone mute. If you want to leave you car while doing a call you can transfer the call to your mobile. All in all I think it is the perfect solution!

Another nice feature for geeks like me: It is possible to install software updated over bluetooth for future mobile phones.

Today my ISP surprised me with tripling my bandwidth for the same money - now I got 25600 kbs down and 1536 kbs up. Wow! Thats a 25 MBit Internet connection. Thats a quarter of my LAN speed.
I am limited to 40 GB traffic per month - pfu
If I exceed this limit they shape my speed “down” to 16 MBit. I wonder if I find any server with enough bandwidth to use this speed.
