Lately there a lot of people are experimenting what is possible wiht JavaScript. Libraries like prototype and scriptaculous are building the base für writing extensive object oriented JavaScript code. Some weeks ago the nihilogic blog presented a Super Mario implemented in 14kB of code playable in the browser. It even includes music
The last example is very interesting: A japanese user group managed to port parts of the Java VM to JavaScript. It allows to convert Java into byte code and embed it into the document. They created a cool Tetris clone.
In the last months I started to listen more and more streaming music. I have a big music library stored on my home server that I created years ago by ripping all my audio CD’s. I still add some new albums of my favorite bands but when I am working on my PC I found out that most of my music distracts me too much.
When I have to concentrate it is better for me to listen to “sound without lyrics”. I do not have much of that kind of music so I tried some internet radio stations. My favorite one is somafm.com. I like their Groove Salad channel a lot. The Secret Agent channel is another favorite when I am on a “special mission”
The Hardjet Playground’s podcats are a great is another set of great remixes and special versions. I even listen to classic streams sometime because I people say it pushes creativity.
There are also streams of local Austrian radio station like FM4 or OE3.
Guitar Hero III Mobile is now available for BlackBerry. Go to http://www.bplay.com/promo/guitarhero and you can get a trial version there. The price for the full version is 14.99 $ and it includes 15 tracks. New tracks will be available for download soon.
As I stated out earlier I am a huge Guitar Hero III fan so I have to give this version a try - stay tuned for updates.
In one of its posts today Fake Steve Jobs writes about our chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer. He came across this article on Spiegel Online about the BZÖ accusing our “emperor” of breaking the law by unlocking his iPhone. And the picture of “Gusi” used in this article is really looking like “he is wearing the Dr. Evil jacket”
A friend asked me “who is this Fake Steve Jobs?” after reading one of my latest posts. The man behind the fabulous blog Fake Steve Jobs is Dan Lyons, he writes for the Forbes magazine. See this video in which he talks about the story behind creating Fake Steve Jobs:
I bet you will have some fun with this vid - I did
